Making wine and beer requires careful management of the fermentation process.  Having the proper chemicals will ensure that your wine or beer turns out exactly as planned.  Werner's stocks all the chemical supplies you'll need.

 

 

Chemical Supplies for Wine and Beer Making
1-Step No Rinse Cleanser Oxygen based with a favorable cleaning power & sanitizes on contact.  Environmentally friendly & non-toxic.  No rinsing required.
Acid Blend Blend of tartaric, malic & citric acids) 
Amylase Enzyme  
Ascorbic Acid Prevents oxidation; use 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons at bottling 
Bentonite Used for clearing hazes from wines.  Use 4 teaspoons to ½ cup warm water 
Calcium Carbonate Lowers acidity in wine.  Use 5/8 teaspoon per gallon to lower acidity .15%.  Use before fermentation.  Do not reduce acid more than .30%.
Campden Tablets Contains sodium metabisulphite & is a convenient way to accurately sulfite wine.  Releases sulphur dioxide, which acts as a sterilant & antioxidant.
Citric Acid  
Fermas Yeast Nutrient  
Gelatin Finings Use ½ teaspoon per gallon 
Irish Moss Use 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons) 
Oak Chips For white wines use 1-1½ cups, for red wines use 2-3 cups 
Pectic Enzyme Add ½ teaspoon per gallon of must before start of fermentation 
Polyclar  
Potassium Metbisulfate Sanitizer - use 2 oz per 1 gallon of water.  Antioxidant & bactericide - use 2/3 teaspoon to 5 gallons.  Dissolve sulphite in warm water before adding
Potassium Sorbate Stabilizer, use ½ teaspoon per gallon 
Sodium Metbisulfate Sanitizer - use 2 oz per 1 gallon of water.  Antioxidant & bactericide - use 2/3 teaspoon to 5 gallons.  Dissolve sulphite in warm water before adding
Super Starter Distiller's Yeast Produces 14-22% alcohol.  Requires nutrients.
Tannin Dry form of premium Slovakian wine tannin from the heart of the European/Spanish Chestnut tree.  Use ¼ tsp/gal for white or rosé wine must; 1/3 tsp/gal for red wine must; ½ tsp/gal for fruit wine must.
Tartaric Acid  
Turbo Yeast Yields up to 14% alcohol in just 24 hours.
Wine Conditioners  
Yeast Energizer Add ½ teaspoon per gallon of wine must to stimulate fermentation.) Contains Diammonium phosphate, yeast hulls, magnesium sulphate, & Vitamin B Complex.
Yeast Nutrient Use 1 teaspoon per gallon
